We are so happy to have Bloomist back on the blog today! One of my very favorite small shops on the planet. Known for their commitment to the environment and dedication to small batch artists, Bloomist has grown since the last time they were here. It seems like everywhere I turn they are popping up on my radar. BHG, Magnolia, Apartment Therapy, Domino, the list goes on and it makes me so happy to see such a wonderful shop like this bloom! If you missed Bloomist the first time around I highly suggest you find out more about them from our last post which you can find right here. This is a give back company with a big heart and a big mission so you can feel 100% comfortable that the treasures you bring home are in fact treasures. Meet all of the makers and learn more about how the Bloomist community is giving back right here. Find them on Instagram @mybloomist.
Here's the exciting news- we have a rare discount code!!! Oct 3rd-12th you can use "UNDECORATED15" to save 15% on your purchase.
I have a collection of items from Bloomist so I thought it would be fun to style them a few different ways and share some tips with you. You really can't go wrong with anything from the shop but a few of my favorites are the Wood Chain Links and the Tunisian Clay Beads. They have the very best dried botanicals, some are listed below but there are more on the website. Be sure to check out their beautiful handmade textiles right here. Now let's get on with some styling.
~Tips For Styling Your Coffee Table~
1. WORK IN A TRIANGLE
Imagine a triangle right in the middle of your table.
2. CHOOSE A FOCAL POINT
The first piece should be the tallest piece in your triangle. It's the item that draws your eye away from the rest of the room. A beautiful vessel alone can do the trick....
or you can up the anti with fresh blooms or dried botanicals that will last for years to come.
3. ANCHOR THE TRIANGLE AND CREATE LAYERS
I like to use books, trays and bowls as anchors. This gives your triangle some weight and creates a new layer for your next step.
3. LAYER IN DECORATIVE OBJECTS
This is my favorite step. I think every vignette needs something that will draw attention, something that feels like it has a story or something that people feel like they can touch.
4. A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA
Now is the time to fill in those little bare spots with items that you use often. A candle, a pretty match striker, a vessel to corral the little things we tend to leave on the table.
Add some beauty to your Instagram feed by following along with @mybloomist and don't forget to use code "UNDECORATED15" for 15% off your purchase now through October 12th.
Happy Styling!
